Glenwood’s newest adventure, Iron Mountain Hot Springs, has a highly anticipated grand opening this week, Saturday August 15th. Beginning at 9am with a ribbon cutting – hot coffee and Sweet Coloradough will be served to visitors. The first 50 guests to sign in receive entry for 25 cents as a tribute to the long history of the property – the cost of a soak in 1896 at the West Glenwood Health Spa.
Iron Mountain’s new facility offers 16 mineral hot springs soaking pools ranging in temperature from 98 to 108 degrees and a freshwater family pool with a jetted spa. The springs are open from 9am to 10pm through Labor Day weekend when off season hours begin. The cost of admission is $25 per adult, $15 for kids 3 to 12 and free for kids younger than 3. Just up for an evening soak? There is an 8-10pm ticket for you – $15/adult and $9/children. Discounts are available for seniors, AAA members and military.
The hot springs also provides a lodge-style bath house with locker rooms, free water and bottle filling stations, a gift shop and a poolside cafe offering drinks, snacks, meals and desserts. A new hotspot for family fun, this natural wonder flanks the banks of the Colorado River – as you soak and relax, you’ll enjoy stunning views up and down the valley!
